Rank-a-Brand names KOI leading brand in sustainable production
With over 500 brands in 25 sub-categories, Rank-a-Brand, Europe’s largest brand-comparison website, has named Kings of Indigo as the leading brand in sustainable production. The reason? Easy to say: the innovation in fabrics and production are the core of the business.
Everybody knows how the brand focuses its attention in fashion, trend and environment: KOI uses environmentally fibers such as recycled and organic cotton to create its items, most of them GOTS certified (Global Organic Textile Standard certification). Over 90% of raw materials used is sustainable. Moreover, the brand is a true pioneer in the use of innovative and sustainable fabrics, such as Tencel/ Lyocell, recycled polyester and recycled wool. It’s not a secret that KOI works with recycled yarns, a fact that reduces the use of chemicals and water for growing new cotton.
Another point that let KOI winning the prestigious award is the innovation in production, with the sustainable washing and finishing methods used. This means a minimum use of water and chemicals (no chlorobenzenes, azo dyes or heavy metals), not to mention the sustainable finishing processes used to substitute stonewash and bleach.
