For Tiger of Sweden SS15 urban and rural worlds collide and merge together
From Stockholm to the rest of the world.
Tiger of Sweden and fashion, which is similar to urbanization: it affects people and their lifestyles. Maybe this is the reason why for its SS15 collection Tiger Jeans by Tiger of Sweden took inspiration from bio cities.
But what about Tiger of Sweden? From tailoring and its strong confection tradition, during the 1990s the brand founded in 1903 in the Swedish small town Uddevalla, on the Swedish west coast, changed it’s classical mood and developed more attractive suits by “taking the suit from the bank to the street”. From being a tailoring brand for gentlemen only, Tiger of Sweden turned into an international designer brand perfect for young people too with three lines: men’s, women’s and jeans – included shoes and accessories peaces.
And here we are with the new collection:
“In 2007 it was estimated that roughly half of the world’s population were living in urban areas and it has been predicted that by 2030 this will have increased to two thirds on the world will be living in cities”, they say.
Still using best and traditional fabrics and combining clean cuts, details, silhouette and materials, the brand creates two different lines for men’s and women’s: Deluxe Rocker and Tiger Jeans are the looks of menswear (classic slim silhouettes, sharp cuts the first, new materials and coatings the second one), while women wear a strong look, a mix of a slightly thrashed rock style and a more refined fashion look.
Two lines, same color palette that, like the urban mood, is influenced by nature which inspires fabrics, prints and washes: black, dusty green, grey, red and white are the nuances used.
In Tiger of Sweden SS15 collection urban and rural worlds collide and merge together.
