The “Blue” from Genoa is back
Genoa and the blue of its sea and denim is the main source of inspiration for Blue de Gênes that for the FW 2017 collection once again pays tribute to the legacy of the Italian city.
Every creation is about Made in Italy – with a series of all-Italian made classical waistcoats and jackets which are inspired by old XVII century poor men’s outfit – and Italian personalities, as the new “Vinci” jeans model (from Leonardo Da Vinci) shows: “The scope and depth of his interests were without precedent in recorded history and his mind and personality seem to us superhuman, while the man himself mysterious and remote” says the brand.
New in are the shoe and hats collection. The latter saw the collaboration of Peter Hornskov, Copenhagen artisan hat maker who created a small range of handmade items to complete the Blue de Gênes look. Each style is custom-made by Peter Hornskov himself in Copenhagen and received a touch of Blue de Gênes.
