Sustainable and made to last: discover the collection at Candiani Vision hub
The Eco-fashion is terrifically in vague right now – even the fast fashion giants and e-commerce platforms are supporting the ReFashion trend. However, an Italian mill has always supported the cause, even when nobody did, proving how Made in Italy can be at the forefront.
Only the intuition, the commitment and the great expertise of Candiani Denim could make it, and the dream came true. This is how Alberto Candiani and his team created COREVA™, the world’s first compostable stretch denim fabric.
No compromise but a perfect circle: from nature to jeans, and back. This technology patented by Candiani Denim uses elastic yarns obtained from natural rubber in place of synthetic yarns. Raw materials turn into fabric, which at its end of life returns to nature as fertilizer for new raw material, without impacting the environment. Once discarded, COREVA™ fabric needs less than 6 months to be composted, however, this doesn’t mean that the items created with COREVA™ won’t last. Even after years of use, the characteristics remain the same: same beauty, elasticity and softness – like I said, no compromise!
Made to last, 100% sustainable, compostable, but that’s not all. Unlike other stretch fabrics, COREVA™ doesn’t contain elastane and doesn’t release microplastics.
In order to celebrate this huge success, Candiani Denim opens Candiani Denim Vision, a denim hub with the goal of presenting the COREVA™ collection, attracting interest and let more and more people be aware of such a huge topic. Thanks to Matteo Ward, the return to nature is key in this new space: have you ever seen a denim turning into a plant? Maybe not yet, but if you come by Milan, don’t miss it!
