Happy birthday Candiani Denim
Made in Italy, innovation and sustainability have always been part of Candiani Denim history. Moreover, these values are also the key of a great success with no bounds so that the Italian brand is known worldwide as The Greenest Mill in the Blue World. A real triumph thanks to the continuous technological and productive research in sustainable denim. But today there is one more goal to celebrate: the 80th anniversary of the world’s finest and most sustainable denim mill.
In full Candiani style, the gift is for denim lovers: here is the Re-Gen, the most sustainable denim fabric. Combining ethics and aesthetics, denim heritage with the most advanced sustainable technologies, the Re-Gen Denim is a unique Denim fabric composed of 50% Refibra™ and 50% recycled fibers. All yarns woven into this fabric are therefore made of regenerated material and do not use fresh cotton. Its inimitability also lies in the use of the dyeing technology Kitotex®, a naturally occurring polymer obtained by recycling the exoskeleton of shrimp that offers less consumption of energy, water and chemicals (-30%, -50%, -70% respectively) The Re-Gen Denim uses another revolutionary water saving Dyeing Technology, Indigo Juice®.
This Made in Candiani technology keeps the indigo very superficial on the yarn during the dyeing process which makes this fabric perfect for an easy fade, vintage look jean. Once again technology meets eco-friendly process allowing for saving 15% of water and 15% of energy.
This series, launched in Los Angeles at the Candiani Denim Development Center, will be available for sale exclusively by Tenue de Nimes in Amsterdam.
In April, at an after Kingpins party held at the Tenue de Nimes boutique, an exclusive first sale of the 80th anniversary garments will take place.
