ReSolve is born. New standards for sustainable denim production
Candiani Denim’s journey towards a biodegrable denim fabric is moving forward. After ReGen and ReLast, the desire to push the limits of sustainability was still so burning that during the latest Kingpins Show Amsterdam, the Italian mill presented a new member of the Re Family.
This is how ReSolve is born, as result of a next step to a greener denim production by combining innovative fiber blends and revolutionary dyeing technologies.
In 2018 ReGen, developed for the 80th Anniversary of the company, won the 2019 ITMA Sustainable Innovation Award. In 2019 ReLast, a new eco-smart denim range in partnership with ROICA™ from Asahi Kasei, rewrote the rules for responsible denim stretch manufacture, designing fashion forward denims that are now guaranteed completely 100% sustainable.
Thanks to its composition of organic cotton and a customized ROICA™ premium degradable stretch yarn developed exclusively for Candiani by Asahi Kasei, ReSolve represents a real innovation and uniqueness, a step further on the sustainable properties of fibers. Sustainable fiber-blends are an essential ingredient in Candiani’s journey to developing a real degradable denim fabric, where real means a denim that decomposes completely, without emitting harmful chemicals into the environment. This ROICA™ yarn has also been awarded with the Gold Level Material Health Certificate by the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute to prove its real non-toxic uniqueness. This version of the ROICA™ V550 yarn has been made exclusively for Candiani by Asahi Kasei. Thanks to this exclusivity and know how, Candiani has created a fabric with a Superior Stretch performance of 45%.
