30 years of denim and icons
The story of denim comes from Italy.
How denim world changed in the last 30 years? You’d better ask to Closed, the company founded in Italy in 1978 and still symbol of denim craftsmanship and innovation.
In these decades men, women and children have chosen and worn this brand known for combining its strong tradition and heritage with handcrafted quality and modernity.
Closed means contemporary, confident and cool, but most of all represents a journey around Europe: an Italian story and production, a current German base and a French imagination, like French was the original name, “CA” like the word Ça – as in “C‘est Ça” or “That’s it!”.
From 1980 to 2014, from The Pedal Pusher to Skinny Pusher: the first represents the first Closed jeans which took inspiration from postmen uniforms and soon became a cult model with the X-pockets ensuring a perfect fit and form, created entirely by hand and still produced in Italy; the second one marks a new era for the brand, where Pedal Pusher essential elements are transferred to a new pair of skinny leg jean. Will they become a real cult, a kind of the new icon like the Pedal Pusher? We hope so.
And what about this Fall-Winter 2014? Discover the new collection for men, women and children with its jeans, jackets, shirts, sweaters, sneakers and many other garments where the most classic tradition meets the cutting-edge innovations: colorful models for him and for her, not to mention the large number of accessories, like the trendy bags. The one we love the most? The Denim Weekender, the traveling bag made of deep blue denim and Italian cowhide. How to get it?
