The new Spring Summer 2017 collection
When a brand gives life to a collection it means it wants to interpret the new season according to its personal inspiration. It means it has and wants to say something. Gabba has the same opinion and presents “The Wrinkles of the City”, the new collection that takes inspiration from the street art.
An art that shows the beauty of an elderly person who has an individual story to tell. A collection that shows another side of L.A., different from the glamorous image everybody has. Because in everyone’s mind there is the idea of a sparkling city, but Los Angeles and Hollywood are something more, and a few people only knows it. Because beside villas, pool and clubs, the City of Angels has areas that are consumed or deteriorated, just like the faces of the elderly people who have left their footprints through time. It’s a multicultural city that allows individuality and offers huge diversity.
“We’ve chosen fabrics, knitwear, prints and washes that reflect the L.A. feeling. For the knitwear we’re especially loving the structured and mélange fabrics, various knit techniques in light yarns, camouflage prints, jacquards and offset patterns” says the brand.
The color palette is inspired by the impression of the city: black and greys taken from the gutter, white when sunlight hits your eyes, the blues from the sea, biscotto and olive from the hill side.
Leather details, heavy wax treatments and patches make the rest.
