Discovering the winning mill of GDA 2016
Its name is ITV Denim and you should have already heard of it: this Italian company is the winning mill of the latest edition of the Global Denim Award.
The successful story of this family owned company started in 1972 and today can count on an Italian tradition spread worldwide with the presence of offices all over the world. How could it be possible? Easy to say: being Italian in fashion system means having that extra oomph, but if we add some simple ideas and principles such as quality, quick response, flexibility and dynamic mind, well, les jeux sont faits.
With more than 40 years of experience and know-how, ITV offers a fully integrated production with combed yarn, achieved with the most advanced weaving and dyeing techniques. And, surprise, this is an Italian vertically integrated textile manufacturing.
Continuos innovation through creativity is another key point of the success of ITV Denim that put huge efforts in an eco-friendly approach, very in felt in denim sector and fashion in general. Water Treatment Plant (WTP), organic cotton, recycled fibers, mixed fibers and natural fibers (not only cotton) are the points on which ITV is working on and dreaming, but beside this eco-friendly approach, there is the innovative one, as we noticed in the Glow in the Dark concept shown during the GDA 2016.
“We want to be different from the others and we are able to reinvent ourselves every time we’d like to. We are 100% Italian and 100% eco-friendly, but most of all our aim is to become an ethical company. Day by day we develop new trends and offers, and day by day we grow together with the people that work with us by respecting the natural territory,” says the brand. “Today in Italy it’s not easy being a company with over 150 employees, but until we look at excellence, innovation and continuous new technologies research, we will follow our goals with passion”.
