The three F meet the three R: new fabrics, fits and finishes for Recycle, Repair and Re-use
From Japanese carps to European denim world, we said for Kings of Indigo FW collection.
What do we expect for the new SS 15? Craftsmanship and innovation, as the best K.O.I tradition has always shown, but most of all the best blend of East and West in prints and graphic designs on college wear.
On women’s apparels, for instance, sweats and tees are embellished by “From Kansas to Kyoto”, “Wild East Japan”, Mount Fuji print and a Koi carp paisley prints, more than the iconic stripes and check patterns for both men and women. The color palette chosen for these items are in perfect harmony with spring-summer mood: pastel light blues and greens.
The inspiration of the collection comes from East and West, of course, but with the addition of new fabrics, fits and jeans finishes. The three F, we would say, for denim and accessories. Starting from jeans and fits, the new in is Charles, a mid rise slim fit for menswear that fills the gap between the square top block slim fit John and the regular slim fit Clovis. For womenswear, here there is a new skinny fit (made from two different shades of grey) and the new skinny models, while patchworks and repairs stand out for both the lines.
Not only socks for K.O.I accessories line: after the striped socks range of FW 14 collection, the trend of this SS 15 is polka-dots. Then, here there is the incredible, perfect and so cool premium leather goods line: belts, cardholders, iPad covers (made in Holland), backpack, tote and tool bag (manufactured in Morocco). Holland or Morocco, it doesn’t matter: the raw materials used are the most refined in order to give customers the best quality. In order to offer the best product designed to last long.
And talking about Kings Of Indigo, we must mention the new finishings and washes chosen for the new collection. From Kings Of Indigo to Kings Of Laundry, as the company says: K.O.I has used laser beams to distress the jeans and ozone to lighten the denim – in order to save lots of water and chemicals – and to create classic all over prints and even burn a logo in the leather accessories.
Refined, precious products, cool apparels and eco-friendly mood. In perfect line the Triple R concept and K.O.I’s pride: Recycle, Repair and Re-use.
