The brand introduces t-shirts, bandanas and bags
A new handmade collection for new handmade products that for the first time are included in brand’s line.
After the successful collaboration with Denham the Jeanmaker, Indigo People is back with its scarves and a new fall collection, enhanced with something new. Beside the well-known indigo scarves and ties, for the first time Indigo People presents t-shirts, bandanas and bags.
Following the traditional batik technique, the artworks of tees and bandanas have been printed with hot wax to resist dye during the indigo dyeing process, then cracked and the garments manually dyed, piece by piece, in natural indigo. At last the final process in hot water to remove the wax. 17-ounce handwoven selvedge denim in natural indigo and 17-ounce handwoven batik denim are the two fabrics used for the bags that have been hand-woven and hand-dyed in natural indigo. The peculiarity of this technique is the result, with every item different from the other because of the manual dye process.
Precious materials for finest garments whose creation has been inspired by vintage ikat patterns and designs from the old Japanese shibori textiles.
